Reason for a Change-Mitch’s Blog

Work is fun at Creative Services, no doubt about it! We are holding Mona Lesa (Petersen) for ransom. Argh!

Our office is moving, soon, to the Von Lee, the date is now March 15. We have three office setups to move in two days, it will be quite the task. Of course our move time is moving, but sometime in March seems possible.

My son Tim, aka Ethereal, has been creating wonderful music for 6 years using our Tiger Direct 1Ghz machine. We went to PC Max and put together a great machine that should bridge him into the Vista era. A new Core 2 Duo, just like a Mac, it will have 2 gigs of Ram and a fast 256mb video card. His 6 channel PCI audio card will go in, all powered by a 430 power supply. Our friend Zach Land got us through the process, it should scream for what he is will be doing, with room for doubling the Ram.

Well, Emma got another letter from the Peace Corps yesterday, and it mentioned solar chargers, so I spent hours reading specs and looking at websites, and found just what was needed. We are going with the Solio from England, very elegant, with the added benefit of an internal battery. I found a good AA/AAA charger that will charge from 12V, and a similar adaptor for her camera battery, both of which will charge from the Solio. I found a great site for all kinds of solar stuff: Sundance Solar, and they sent it the day I ordered online. I especially like the powerfilm foldable charger, it looks great.
